A unique fundraising opportunity featuring YOU!
On Saturday, October 11, as part of our Called Out of Darkness celebration, we are holding dinner and a show. Attendees will enjoy a catered buffet meal with fellowship time followed by a talent showcase. The winners of the talent showcase will be determined by those in attendance. Every person can vote by donating money to the ministry. Every dollar equals one vote, and the top three vote-getters will be awarded prizes. We are in search of performers to help us make this unique and exciting fundraiser come to life.
We have exactly 8 slots to fill. Each act should be between 3 and 5 minutes long, and can have any number of performers in the group. You can sing a song, recite a poem, play an instrument, perform a comedy sketch, juggle while riding your unicycle, and so on. Whatever your talent, however light-hearted or serious, we’d love to have you there!
There is an application to complete to be considered for the show. Applications will be accepted through August 30. This will allow us time to advertise the performances and prepare our A/V team. Also, if more than 8 acts apply, we will need time to hold an audition process. The fees to apply are as follows:
- Solo or duet performance: $25
- Group of 3 – 5 performers: $50
- Group of 6-11 performers: $75
- Group of 12 or more performers: $100
Anyone who applies to perform, along with all those in the performing group, will receive a special link to register for the dinner for only $15 per person.
We are working with the venue to confirm two opportunities for performers to come in and do a sound check in the week leading up to the event. Once you apply, watch your email for instructions on how to sign up for a sound check time.
Timeline of the event, Saturday, October 11:
- Sound Checks (tentative): 3:00 – 4:30 pm
- Buffet Dinner: 5:00 – 6:00 pm
- Talent Show and Fundraising: 6:00 – 7:15 pm
- Testimonies and Praise: 7:15 – 8:00 pm
