Dear Friends,
2026 is an exciting year for our ministry! We have the honor and privilege of celebrating 50 years of ministry to the sexually and relationally broken Body of Christ. From our beginnings as an off-shoot of Love Lines Crisis Hotline in 1976, to an upcoming support group for women, there is a lot to rejoice in. So, 2026 will be filled with celebrations large and small.
To be clear, all the celebrations have everything to do with God. We fully acknowledge our dependence on Him to minister well. We recognize that we have not been perfect these last 50 years, and we repent of the ways we have not handled certain situations well. Yet none of those missteps detract from God’s amazing grace and transformation. God is in the business of resurrection, and He has done a mighty work in the lives of so many men and women through Outpost. Here’s what to expect as we honor God and look forward to what He has in store for our next 50 years.
First, Outpost News will regularly include special articles and interviews. We will be republishing some historic articles–going back as far as we can–to highlight God’s work over the years. Also, watch for interviews with former Outpost directors and staff, as well as Restored Hope Network (RHN) leaders who have been doing ministry for many years. We pray these articles and interviews will be insightful and encouraging.
Second, we are updating and expanding the opportunities to gather together throughout the year. First, break out your suits and fancy dresses for the revamp of our fundraising banquet into the “From Glory to Glory Gala!” Then, we’re adding a more informal “Discover Outpost” night in late spring for friends old and new. We plan to wrap up the summer months with another round of “Outpost’s Got Talent,” where we hope to see even more of your special gifts on display. The biggest event of the year, however, is our 50th Anniversary Celebration on October 9th &10th at North Heights Church in Arden Hills. We cannot wait to share all the special guests, reflections, and vision for the future with each and every one of you.
In addition to all the special events, we will continue to minister to men and women through our on-site support groups. Joshua Fellowship and CalebSpirit are meeting regularly. We are piloting a group for women seeking wholeness starting in late January (see below for more info), and we are planning to offer another CrossCurrent group for men and women in late spring. We are grateful to continue walking alongside men and women as they seek transformation and wholeness.
Finally, our support for churches and ministries continues to expand. Several churches use our Elijah Company toolkit to minister to parents, family, and friends of LGBTQ+-identified loved ones and those struggling with their sexuality and identity. Also, we are
continuing to reach out to churches to bless and equip them in navigating LGBTQ+ matters. Whether it’s with our Distinctions seminar, teaching a Sunday school class, or holding a booth after the service, we desire to help churches grow in biblical compassion without compromise. You can contact the office to help connect us with your church.
We invite you to celebrate with us! Mark your calendar for October 9th and 10th, and watch the website for details on when and how to register for the 50th Anniversary Celebration. Be sure to contact us if you have any questions or inquiries regarding upcoming events or support groups. And please pray for us as we prepare for these many endeavors. None of this is possible without God, and we are trusting Him for His provision and strength. To Him be glory in 2026 and forever! Amen.
